Adriana Borriello | On the rhythm. Contemporary Dance Workshop
The workshop held by Adriana Borriello stems from the “not-doing”. In the non-action practice, the perception is enhanced: listening to breathing rhythm, to the pulsing of organs, to the flow of fluids, and to everything that sounds and moves inside and outside of ourselves, in our bodies and in others’. Thanks to this renewed, perception participants will enter the voluntary action, in a mindful body that “hears” itself and plays while moving aimlessly; dance, useless and necessary, if primordial, activity.

We will try to go down in a synesthetic dimension in which movement is music that incorporates itself and offers itself to vision. Dance is an organized time that materializes in the space of the body, from which it emanates, then touching other bodies, creating distances, producing resonances while dilating and contracting. The perceptive deviation of a non-ordinary time generates new visible and invisible landscapes, evoking other sensations; in this way we can feel the world’s dance and, being part of it, we play with our musical body. – Adriana Borriello
